The awards are named to honour Francine Lansdown, who was committed to improving the lives of young people and making a difference in the world, and her mother Gerison Lansdown, an international children’s rights advocate, both cherished friends of the Centre. The awards aim to support students engaged in children’s rights research and advocacy, and to encourage critical thinking about children’s rights issues. We welcome essays that focus on the broad theme of children’s rights and mental health, girls’ rights, health, and climate change.
Award description
- Applicants must be registered full-time in an undergraduate or graduate program at a Canadian university or have graduated from such a program less than one year ago.
