Official eTranscript

A secure digital transcript you can share using MyCreds.

On the MyCreds platform, one share credit allows you to send the document to one recipient. You must have at least one credit in order to view your document. While viewing doesn't use a credit, sharing the document will use a credit.

For example, if you're applying to two schools, you'll need two share credits.

Note: You're not paying for the transcript itself, but for MyCreds shares.

MyCreds charges $8 per share credit.

MyCreds payments require your residential and billing address to meet Canada Revenue Agency rules. For the payment to process, your billing address postal code must match the one linked to your card.

You can view and download your unofficial transcript directly from your Student Centre at any time. Downloading your unofficial transcript from your Student Centre doesn't use any share credits.

To download a copy of your eTranscript, you must use the MyCreds platform to share the transcript with yourself. This options uses one credit.

To share the document securely with another third-party within the platform, you’ll need to purchase additional MyCreds share credits.

Important note: If you download your transcript from MyCreds and send it yourself, organizations may not accept it. This is because they can’t verify if it’s valid or up to date.

Sharing through MyCreds lets recipients verify your document directly with UCalgary.

You have full control over how your document is shared. You can choose who receives it, how long they can access it, and even require them to use a PIN for access. You can also send it directly to another school through MyCreds if they're on the network.

If you set an expiry date for your eTranscript, that recipient will lose access once the expiry date you selected arrives. An expired share counts towards the number of share credits you've used.

You must have at least one share credit if:

  • You're opening a new document
  • Your transcript has been updated
  • Your credit balance is zero

You don’t need to buy a share credit every time you want to view your document. You only need to purchase at least one credit the first time you access it, or if your document has been updated and you have no credits left.

Once you’ve used up your share credits, you can still view your document as long as it hasn’t been updated. If it has been updated, you’ll need to buy at least one new share credit to view or share it again.

If you didn't get the email notification from MyCreds, you can still access your documents. Visit the MyCreds Education Provider sign in page. From there, select University of Calgary from the drop down menu. Then log in with your UCalgary username and password.

Support is available via MyCreds how-to videos. They can help with details on sharing, credits, logging in and linking accounts.
