University grading system
The University of Calgary uses a 4.0 grading scale. Full details of the grading system can be found in the University Calendar.
Grade availability
- Fall semester: grades are typically available by mid-January.
- Winter semester: grades are typically available by May.
They are available about 15 days after the term ends.
Accessing your grades
You can view your statement of grades, including courses and credits, directly in your Student Centre. This allows you to check grades without needing to request a transcript.
Grade reappraisals
Flexible grading option
The university has a grading option for undergraduate students called credit granted (CG).
Grade Pending (GP)
If a final grade isn’t ready at the end of a term, you may see a temporary Grade Pending (GP).
