External Exam Centre

The Enrolment Services Exam Centre administers assessments for candidates taking distance education, professional and entrance exams.

We offer a welcoming, efficient and reliable exam writing experience. We’re available for students taking courses domestically or internationally through many institutions, businesses and professional organizations.

We can proctor almost any type of exam. Examples include:

We are an official testing site for Meazure Learning (credentialing examinations).
Pre-admissions/entrance exams.
Post-secondary exams for distance learners. This includes Athabasca University, MacEwan University, Okanagan College, Thompson Rivers University and many others.
Professional designation exams.
Real estate exams: MREA and UBC (Sauder School of Business).
Certification exams, including for the University of Alberta's Continuing Dental Education program.
Canadian Institute for Non-Destructive Evaluation (CINDE).
Canadian National Institute of Health (CNIH).
Lethbridge Polytechnic.

Getting to your exam

For mailed exams:

We prefer at least 10 business days between submitting your booking form and the exam date. This allows enough time for your exam to arrive from your home institution. We’ll try to accommodate your request if you require an earlier booking and your exam can be sent via express mail.

For emailed/online exams:

We prefer at least five business days between submitting your booking form and the exam date. If you need an earlier booking, contact us and we’ll try to accommodate your request.

We’re open for in-person proctoring services and look forward to hosting you!

Bookings are regularly available at these times:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (three-hour exams typically start at 9 a.m. or 1 p.m.)

What to bring

Remember to bring a piece of government-issued photo ID and your personal login details if your exam is online.

Follow your institution’s regulations. Your instructor or organization should provide you with a list of items you’re allowed.

Storing your belongings

We can provide you with a locker while you’re writing your exam. You must leave cellphones, smart watches and other non-permissible items in the locker during the exam (or you can leave them at home).
