MyCreds is a national digital wallet for post-secondary credentials. It lets you securely access and easily share your academic documents and records.


Conveniently access and share your academic documents

You can use MyCreds to securely and conveniently access and share your academic documents with other colleges and universities, government, employers, and third parties. Documents issued through MyCreds are tamper evident and cryptographically signed, making them authentic and official.

Documents can be added to your digital credential wallet via MyCreds and shared directly with external organizations.

Use of information and privacy

By requesting or sharing your eParchment, you agree to allow UCalgary to share your legal name, student ID, email address, full academic record and official documents through MyCreds. All personal information that’s collected is used, stored and destroyed in accordance with the University of Calgary Privacy Policy.

Official digital transcripts issued by the university that show a student’s academic record and can be securely shared online through MyCreds.

Accessing your documents in MyCreds

To obtain digital documents, students must pay a fee that covers the amount charged to the university for partnership with MyCreds.

MyCreds provides secure, authentic, widely recognized digital documents with 24/7 access. You control who can access them, when and for how long.

The following documents are available through the MyCreds platform for the associated fee:

Getting started with MyCreds

To get started, request your document through your Student Centre. You’ll get an email from MyCreds with steps to set up or log in to your account. If you already have an account, you can link it when you sign in.

FAQs

MyCreds is a secure online platform used by Canadian universities to store and share official documents. UCalgary uses it so you can easily access and send verified documents (like transcripts and official letters) anytime. It also helps organizations trust that your documents are authentic.

UCalgary uses MyCreds for official eTranscripts, eParchments and student letters. This gives students and alumni flexibility in sharing authentic and legally valid documents. Sending confirmation letters through MyCreds assures the receiving organization that they’re being presented official documents directly from UCalgary.

Students are charged a cost recovery fee that covers the cost of using the MyCreds network. The decision to partner with MyCreds was made in consultation with various student and staff groups. There is a small fee to securely access or share electronic documents.

MyCreds purchases, including share credits, are final and non-refundable. Your share credit stays in your account until you decide to share your document by selecting the blue Share button. If you’re not sure what type of letter to request, contact Enrolment Services before ordering.

Documents are processed immediately. You’ll receive an email notification from MyCreds when your document is available.

It depends on the document:

  • Some documents use a credit only when you choose to share them
  • Others use a credit when you open them, but then you can share them as many times as you want during the access period

Yes. UCalgary alumni can request official eTranscripts and Confirmation of Credential Letters through their Student Centre and view them in the MyCreds Learner Portal.
