Biography

Emma graduates would like to eventually enter into Biomedical Engineering. She would like to be a part of a process that directly impacts the lives of those who are in dismal situations. She wants her work to give other people hope and help them in tough times.

Before coming to University of Calgary, Emma graduated from Holy Rosary High School in Lloydminster. Her top three achievements in high school were: earning her way into playing at the Canadian National Fastball Championships for all three years of her high school career; being selected three years in a row to represent her high school at the University of Saskatchewan High School Select: lastly, earning her way onto the provincial development teams for both short track and long track speed skating in 2015 and 2016 respectively.

Emma chose the University of Calgary because of the opportunity that they presented to her to play fastball on the university team, as well as for the excellent engineering program.

Emma explains the impact of receipt of the Chancellor’s Club Scholarship: “I am excited to have the support not only monetarily, but the support of other highly educated individuals in my pursuit of building a better future. I look forward to helping the community alongside the other scholars. I am very grateful to be a part of this group of excellent individuals, and I look forward to working with everyone in the future. I love to be a leader, and I would love any opportunities you may have for me to express that.”
