Biography

I graduated from John G. Diefenbaker High School in Calgary, AB. All of my greatest accomplishments pertain to the word "community" in one way or another. Whether it be raising money for families struggling through childhood cancer, free tutoring, or raising money for cancer research. Some of my greatest accomplishments is collectively raising $300,000 for the Kids Cancer Care non-profit through the High Hopes Challenge, stacking up over 500 hours of volunteering, and gaining success in academia. I learned massively from these accomplishments. I learned to be disciplined in my work, learned to get over rejection in the professional setting, and learned that anything is possible through hard work. Before attending UCalgary, my life revolved around volunteering and fundraising as a high school student, contributing to various organizations and causes. The activities that most fulfilled me were the cycles of fundraising, with the planning and execution, and seeing whole projects come together to make a change in the world, along with the occasional chess tournament.

My passion for engineering has always been driven by a fascination with the mechanics behind the world’s most advanced machines—planes, cars, and spacecraft. Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Aerospace Engineering at UCalgary allows me to bridge my interests in CAD design, project management, static physics, and electrophysics with real-world applications in transportation and aerospace innovation. I am particularly eager to deepen my understanding of aerodynamics, propulsion systems, and advanced materials, with the goal of contributing to the development of more efficient, high-performance technologies. Whatever it is, I am excited to engage in research that pushes the boundaries of engineering. Through my undergraduate experience, I look forward to collaborating on cutting-edge projects, applying theoretical knowledge to practical challenges, and developing the technical and leadership skills necessary to drive innovation in the field. UCalgary provides the ideal environment to explore these ambitions, and I am eager to make the most of every opportunity.

After graduation, my goal is to establish myself as an engineering consultant, leveraging my expertise in mechanical and aerospace engineering to provide innovative solutions across industries. I am particularly interested in working on projects that help companies develop more efficient and high-performance technologies in automotive, aerospace, and related fields. Long-term, I aspire to build my own engineering consulting firm, where I can collaborate with industry leaders, manage complex engineering projects, and drive innovation in design and development. I am excited about the prospect of working with diverse teams, tackling real-world engineering challenges, and delivering cutting-edge solutions to clients.

I am deeply inspired and moved by my parents and how they have managed to get respectable positions in their careers even with having completely restart from rock bottom after moving here from our home country.
