Types of advising appointments

Booked Appointment (45 min)

Visit to schedule an online or in-person appointment and guarantee your time slot. If you are a current student, please select the "Exploratory Advising - Prospective, Open Studies, Undecided" menu option and book using the "Navigating Open Studies" appointment type.

What to expect in an appointment

During your appointment you will determine the best way for you to enter an undergraduate degree program, review Open Studies policies and undergraduate admission procedures, and discuss how transfer credit can apply to undergraduate degree programs.

Drop-in Advising (20 Min)

To help support more urgent requests we are offering in-person drop-in advising appointments on the following days:

  • Every Monday in February from 1:00pm -3:30pm

Check in with the Student Success Centre front desk (3rd Floor, Taylor Family Digital Library) or virtual front desk to join the drop-in queue. These appointments are shorter, first-come, first-serve, and limited each day.  If your needs are not as urgent and/or you would prefer a lengthier appointment we recommend booking an appointment with us through Elevate or by calling our front desk.

Drop-in advising will not be available starting in March.  Students should instead look to book an appointment with us.
