Canadian Immigration

International Student Services (ISS) offers expert guidance on Canadian immigration matters, including study permits, work permits, visas, and more. Our regulated Canadian immigration advisors are here to help you navigate the process and answer your questions.

Throughout the academic year, we host a variety of immigration-related webinars and workshops led by a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC).

How to Apply for a Study Permit Extension: This session will guide you through the process, including how to demonstrate proof of financial support and enrollment.

How to Apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP): This session provides an overview of the Post-Graduation Work Permit application process, along with tips on how to strengthen your application and increase your chances of success.

What to Do After You Graduate (For International Students): Explore career options, job search strategies, and goal setting in this session. You'll also learn about the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) and options for staying in Canada to work, along with a brief overview of Permanent Residency (PR). This session is a collaboration between ISS and the Centre for Career and Personal Development.

How to Apply for a Co-op Work Permit: This workshop will explain the steps to apply for a co-op work permit and provide useful tips to improve your application.

Important Information: All immigration sessions are open only to current UCalgary degree-seeking students and recent graduates. These sessions are not available to exchange students, visiting students, ESL/IFP students, or foreign workers on campus.

Stay informed and take advantage of these valuable resources to support your immigration journey!
