Shauna Reckseidler-Zenteno, PhD

Dr. Shauna Reckseidler-Zenteno is the current Dean and an Associate Professor, Biology in the Faculty of Science and Technology. Dr. Zenteno completed her PhD in Microbiology and Infectious Diseases at the University of Calgary.

She has 20 years of experience in teaching, supervision, and research in microbiology. Dr. Zenteno has been at Athabasca University for 15 years and during this time she has developed online courses in the sciences and served in leadership roles, including the Vice Dean, Operations in the Faculty of Graduate Studies.

She participates in a number of external partnerships in research and online education.
