Get work experience while supporting causes you care about

Volunteering is a great way to make a meaningful contribution to your community while adding excellent work experience to your resume. Learn how you can get involved on campus or with local organizations by attending the Volunteer Fair on March 10 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Agenda

1 – 2 p.m.: Opening panel

Why volunteer? There are so many reasons! We're partnering with Leadership and Student Engagement to show you why volunteering can have positive impacts on the community, your personal development and your job search. Learn how you can communicate volunteer experience and extracurricular involvement on your resume and some of the ways you can get involved at UCalgary.

2 – 4 p.m.: Open networking

There are volunteer opportunities for any cause you care about, whether it's the arts, housing, mental health support, education, sustainability and much more. During this open networking session, you can connect with local organizations with open volunteer positions and learn what they do.
