Do I require VPN access?

When working or learning from home, only certain functions require VPN (Virtual Private Network) access. This page lists what applications and systems do not require VPN access and which ones do.

Do I require VPN access to work from home?

Use the list of applications and services below to determine whether you need VPN in order to access them or not.

VPN is NOT required from home

The following applications and services DO NOT require VPN to be accessed from home:

  • Peoplesoft
  • O365 suite (Email, OneDrive, etc)
  • SharePoint
  • ServiceNow
  • Adobe Connect
  • D2L
  • IT Account and eID account creation and management
  • Drupal (production)
  • Citrix
  • RMS
  • Desk voicemail
  • Orbis

VPN IS required from home

The following applications and services DO require GENERAL VPN to be accessed from home:

  • Share Drives
  • Printing
  • Drupal (not production)
