Investment Advisors
Each UCeed fund is backed by an Investment Advisory Group who review and advise on Fund investments. These advisors are hand-selected, experienced professionals with deep sector experience, proven leadership, and knowledge and experience in early-stage investing. Advisors provide mentorship, deep-rooted community connections, and critical support through the investment decision-making process and third-party validation.
Innovate Calgary is responsible for the management and operation of the UCeed Fund. With support from the Innovate Calgary management team, Investment Advisory Groups meet on a set schedule — as often as quarterly — to make recommendations and investment decisions. Discussions include:

Clinical Advisory Board
The marketplace success of novel therapeutics, diagnostics, medical devices, and other healthcare products often depends on nuanced factors that require frontline clinician feedback to assess. The Clinical Advisory Board (CAB) is a group of physician volunteers who leverage their networks to connect UCeed Health staff to frontline clinicians who provide feedback on the clinical utility and feasibility of healthcare products and services in development by prospective investee companies. We are deeply grateful for their valuable assistance.
