Research Summary Haley critically examines psychedelic-assisted therapies, focusing on their potential clinical applications and safety considerations in oncology and psychiatric care. Her current mixed-methods research investigates stakeholder perspectives to inform ethical and evidence-based implementation of these emerging therapeutic approaches.

Biography Drawing from ten years of hands-on private and community healthcare roles—including clinical support, patient advocacy, and leadership positions—Haley brings a nuanced perspective to patient-centered care. Her dual degree in Biological Sciences and Psychology from the University of Calgary, complemented by two honours projects in neuroplasticity and medical education, has positioned her to pursue higher degrees as a clinician scientist in integrative oncology.

Currently serving as the Chair of Education for the Charbonneau Trainee Association and actively participating in the Society for Integrative Oncology's planning committee, Haley demonstrates leadership in advancing oncology research - from lab bench to patient bedside - and professional development. Her trajectory as a research clinician in training reflects a methodical commitment to exploring treatment modalities that address the multifaceted needs of patients.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Haley finds balance and inspiration exploring with her husband, losing herself in science fiction novels, and being in the woods.
