Biography
“All endings are also beginnings. We just don't know it at the time.” ― Mitch Albom
I hope to contribute to breaking down the barrier between engineers and clinicians so that consistent effective collaboration can improve clinical tools through the application of research, techniques, and innovation to the field of clinical medicine. In biomedical engineering, I see a purposeful, versatile vocation yet what I love most is its fusion of science with a philanthropic heart. I could never fit myself into boxes and labels for things that interested me so instead I carved my own identity. My interest in culture through language, food, and dance complements my academic endeavors, culminating in my passion for community service and engineering.
Over time, my fear of the unknown has become the fuel that drives me. I am compelled to try any activity that interests me in the slightest. My intense desire to make a difference in my community defines me. UCalgary’s pursuit of community leadership has always inspired me, and I hope to support the power of this network to help students reach their potential, and elevate our community to new heights.
