Biography

Shanshan joined Dr. Kris Chadee laboratory in September 2019 as a Master’s student in Microbiology and Infectious Diseases at the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary. Since fascinated by Microbiology and Parasitology back in medical school, Shanshan has a strong interest in dissecting activation of caspase-4 regulates gasdermin D cleavage to mediate IL-1β secretion in macrophages following Entamoeba histolytica infection.
