Ensure you review your course selection with a Haskayne exchange advisor before leaving for your exchange to confirm transfer credit.
Variety of courses offered in English. Haskayne BComm students must take their common core courses at the University of Calgary. On exchange students can take two senior commerce and/or non-commerce options, and/or a maximum of 2 concentration courses (not ACCT/PLMA). They are required to maintain full time status while on exchange, so they must take the equivalent of at least 3 half courses (18 ECTS) and up to 5 half courses (30 ECTS).
Please consult the host university's website to create a tentative list of 60 ECTS credits per semester that you are interested in taking. This list may be based on the current or previous year's courses.
Course conversion: 6 ECTS = 3 units at the UofC (one half-course equivalent).
There are two semesters:
- Fall Semester: August – December
- Spring (Winter) Semester: January – June
Copenhagen Business School offers an optional “Danish Crash Course” at the start of each semester to introduce incoming exchange students to Danish language and culture.

Costs
Exchange students pay their tuition and academic fees to the University of Calgary. Other expenses are paid directly to the service provider.

Funding
Did you know that you can take your UCalgary funding with you on exchange?
Since you remain a degree seeking student at UCalgary while on exchange you remain eligible for any awards and scholarships you are eligible to receive from the university as well as student loans.Our office administers the International Study Travel Grant for students travelling on approved UCalgary study programs that are credit bearing. The amount changes year to year as the money is split evenly between qualified applicants. Students may only receive the study travel grant once. Please see the funding page for more information.

Haskayne students at UCalgary can ONLY apply for this partner through Haskayne, and must meet the Haskayne requirements for exchange.
A selection of courses is available in English; no knowledge of Danish is required to participate on this exchange program. A language proficiency test may be required in order to take courses taught in Danish.
Please note: Danish visa/permit applications may require travel to the Vancouver consulate to submit the documentation and take biometrics as needed.
