Benefits Overview

Health and Dental
- Comprehensive health and dental plans with five (5) flexible options.
- Health coverage includes, but is not limited to prescription medication, vision wear, and paramedicals.
- Dental coverage includes, but is not limited to basic services (e.g., oral exams), major services (e.g., crowns), and orthodontics (e.g., braces).
- Flexible Spending Account (FSA) - excess credits can be allocated to a Health Spending Account (HSA) and/or Wellness Spending Account (WSA).
- Alberta Blue Cross Balance online wellness program.
Retirement Programs
- Universities Academic Pension Plan (UAPP) - effective date of hire if term of employment is one (1) year or more, or the date that the term is extended to is one (1) year or more.
Paid Time Off
- Vacation - starting at four (4) weeks per year
- Personal Leave Days (PLDs) - five (5) PLDs per year

Basic Life Insurance and Long Term Disability (LTD)
- Basic Life Insurance - effective date of hire.
- LTD - effective 6 months from date of hire.
