Frequently Asked Questions
As of June 10, 2024, LinkedIn Learning will no longer be available to all University of Calgary employees.
With contract renewals, we carefully review pricing, budget, and value. While some employees were accessing this service, the overall cost of the LinkedIn Learning contract no longer created enough value across the University of Calgary to warrant a renewal.
Unfortunately, we are not able to extend our remaining time with LinkedIn Learning.
Any department is welcome to explore their own LinkedIn Learning accounts. You could also consider activating an individual LinkedIn Learning account or consider signing up for a premium LinkedIn account which comes with access to LinkedIn Learning.
Learn more about individual LinkedIn Learning accounts here.
Learn more about the premium subscription plan here.
Once the contract officially ends on June 10, 2024, you will not be able to access any saved courses.
There are multiple learning platforms out there that you may consider accessing. Many of them offer free courses, while others are paid alternatives. You may also consider exploring the Calgary Public Library as they offer a variety of learning resources.
We understand that this change may be challenging. If you wish to speak about this further or have any additional questions, please connect with ULearn@ucalgary.ca.
