Preparing for Retirement

Academic staff considering retirement can obtain pension estimates by accessing the retirement planner available on the UAPP website. In September 2017, the UAPP Retirement Planner was updated. Login information used prior to the update will no longer be needed. The following summary shows how to set up new login information: How to Access UAPP Statements and Retirement Planner.

To start the retirement process, a written notification to the President (via department head and dean) should be provided four months prior to the chosen retirement date. A retirement options package for the Universities Academic Pension Plan will be mailed to the retiree approximately one to two months prior to the elected retirement date.
