Five pillars used to plan events throughout the academic year:
- Academics & Professional Development: Developing the skills required to be academically and professionally successful.
- Life Skills: Learning and developing the skills necessary to live independently.
- Residence Community Building: Creating individual and community connections to promote community engagement and a sense of belonging.
- YYC & UCalgary Connections: Encouraging engagement and exploration of the University of Calgary and the City of Calgary to build familiarity and a greater sense of belonging.
- Health & Wellbeing: Encourage residents to develop a philosophy of personal wellness that supports their individual & interpersonal needs in a healthy, sustainable way.
Community Ambassadors (CAs)
A Community Ambassador is a student leader on your floor who is there to create a safe, inclusive, and positive space for you to thrive. CAs design fun programs and events that help connect you to other students and campus resources. CAs help keep the community safe and ensure the Residence Agreement and Community Standards are upheld through an educational approach.
When the Campus Service Centre is closed, a Community Ambassador On-call (CAOC) can help you. The CAOC can be reached by phone.
