To examine risk factors for injury in varsity football.

What did we find?

Risk factors for injury included participation in a game, playing on artificial turf, being a veteran player, and having a past injury.

To determine the frequency and severity of injury.

What did we find?

The annual proportion of injured athletes ranged from 53.5% to 60.4%. Concussions and hamstring strain injuries were the most common. Knee injuries were the most sever injuries.
