This includes services such as personalized immigration advice and housing support, academic success programs, job search events, and more. International Student Services (ISS)

ISS provides support for international students, from pre-arrival guidance to campus integration. Reach out for help with study permits, immigration and its invaluable pre-arrival program. Boost your success by diving into ISS' vibrant events, mentorship opportunities and social activities.

Students’ Union (SU)

UCalgary’s vibrant Students’ Union energizes campus life with dynamic programs, events and services. The SU operates a used textbook store, oversees 300+ student clubs, and runs the undergraduate health and dental plan. It also offers conference funding, wage subsidies, scholarships, tutoring programs and many popular events. Be sure to watch for the pet therapy visits – they’re always a favourite!

Faith & Spirituality Centre (FSC)

The FSC offers spiritual resources, events and bookable multi-faith spaces for prayer on campus. It also hosts events for religious and cultural holidays, runs a Peer Support program, and has 20+ spiritual representatives available for personal guidance.

Housing options

Calgary offers a range of on- and off-campus housing to fit your needs. Apply for residence by May 1 to secure a guaranteed spot on campus for your first year. Prefer to live off-campus? You'll find plenty of nearby neighbourhoods with various housing options that'll keep you close to the action.

Academic Communication Certificate (ACC)

Complete the ACC, the UCalgary English pathway program. If you're registered in the ACC, you may be eligible for conditional admission to a degree program. The ACC will take from 4 to 11 months to complete, depending on your English level and is eligible for 6 units of transfer credit.

New to Calgary? The Welcome Centre provides support and programming for new-to-Calgary students. This service is available at the beginning of the fall term, and is run by student staff who can help with adjusting to life in Calgary, accessing resources, finding things to do in Calgary and more.
