Getting started

Applying to UCalgary is easy! The application opens Aug. 15 for international students and Oct. 1 for domestic students.

Choose your programs

Browse our programs and admission requirements to decide on your program choices. Be sure to rank your program choices with your most desired program as your first choice. Learn more about selecting a first- and second-choice program.

Submit your application

Complete the undergraduate application and then access your my.ucalgary.ca Student Centre.

Watch for updates

Regularly check your Student Centre and the email account you used to apply. Add @ucalgary.ca to your email "safe list" so our emails don’t go to your junk folder.

Additional pathways to admission

Admission to UCalgary undergraduate programs is competitive. We know each student’s experience is unique. So, we offer additional pathways to admission that may be an option for some applicants.

Equitable and Inclusive Admission (EQA)

Considers factors outside of academics that have impacted your access, opportunity or ability to succeed. You can select to be considered through EQA in your application for admission until the application deadline.

Transfer Credit

Transfer credit

Transfer credits allow students to use previous studies toward their UCalgary degree programs.
