Peter Jianrui Liu, Bachelor of Health Science (Honours) First Class (Biomedical Science)
Peter’s commitment to academic excellence has earned him numerous accolades, including several prestigious scholarships and a place in our Scholars Academy. However, his motivation doesn’t end when he leaves the classroom. His passion for social justice led him to found The Mustard Seed University of Calgary Chapter, providing a voice for marginalized people. As the president of the Heart and Stroke Foundation Students’ Association and the Health and Medicine Club, Peter has supported the wellbeing of his peers. During his time at the University of Calgary he facilitated a global heath focus, building research capacity in Nicaragua and doing medical research in China. As the Class Ambassador of 2015, and as a 3M National Student Fellow demonstrates how Peter has helped empowered his fellow students, leaving behind a legacy for the future.
