Form for use in applying to become a member, or for renewing an annual membership to the University of Calgary Retirees Association

NOTE:  Membership year runs from Sept. 1 to August 31 of the following year. If this is a renewal and there have been no changes (address, phone, email, etc.) then simply fill in your name and it is not necessary to fill in the rest of the form.  Simply indicate “No Changes”

After the form in Word format has been filled in, click on 'File' in the top left hand corner and click on 'Share' to e-mail it. Alternatively, save the form and attach it to an e-mail.

Annual Membership Fees

For Annual Members Residing Within the Calgary Area:

The Calgary area is defined as the area in which regular attendance of our monthly meetings is feasible.

For members residing within this area the membership fee is $25.00 annually. 

A couple residing within the Calgary area, both of whom have emeritus status, may elect to pay the reduced fee of $40.00 annually to receive only a single copy of our newsletter, LAR.

 

For Annual Members Residing Outside the Calgary Area:

The Calgary area is defined as the area in which regular attendance of our monthly meetings is feasible.

For members residing outside of this area, the membership fee is $15.00 annually. 

A couple residing outside the Calgary area, both of whom have emeritus status, may elect to pay the reduced fee of $20.00 annually to receive only a single copy of our newsletter, LAR 

 

Lifetime Membership:

Members who have paid membership fees for twenty years will be granted Lifetime Membertship with no further annual memebrship fee payment required.

 

Payment:

Payment can be made in one of three methods. 

First, you can mail your Membership Application/Renewal together with a cheque, payable to Retirees Association, to:

Or alternatively, you can make your membership payment online via Interac e-transfer through your banking institution's online portal by following these instructions:

Security Question: What is this payment for?
Answer: Membership
You will be asked the amount of payment - enter the corresponding amount depending on your application
You will have the opportunity to send a message – for example “Membership for 2020 – 2021,” ensure that the message indicates what you are sending the payment for. 
Depending on your bank and type of account, you may be charged a transfer fee of $1.50.
