Mental Wellbeing and Resilience Certificate

UCalgary has an embedded certificate in Mental Wellbeing and Resilience. Undergraduates from almost every discipline can complete the certificate alongside their degree without adding extra time to their studies, and, upon completion, will be able to reflect and articulate personal values about mental health and well-being with respect to self-care, empathy for others and resilience.

Local

Calgary’s new Mental Health and Addiction Strategy will improve supports for Calgarians. UCalgary researchers played a key role in designing the strategy, identifying service gaps in support networks, outreach services and emergency response systems, including gaps in racially and culturally appropriate services.

International

International

The Cumming School of Medicine leads a Canadian government-funded maternal health partnership initiative in rural Tanzania. Known locally as Mama na Mtoto (mother and baby in Swahili), the project provides on-the-ground clinical, education and research support to improve childbirth safety.
