Food Studies Interdisciplinary Research Group
This research group inspects current ways of producing, processing, distributing, and consuming food; and how they relate to overarching issues such as global economic integration, immigration, language and culture, welfare state transformation, and the environmental crisis or the crisis of care work. This working group is a first step towards building and consolidating an interdisciplinary group of food scholars at the University of Calgary. Learn more

Start-Up Program Launches Agriculture Stream
Calgary-based Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) - Rockies are launching CDL Ag, a new stream designed to help grow seed-stage science and technology-based start-ups in the agriculture and food space. The program will offer companies a chance to work with world-class scientists, economists, experienced entrepreneurs and business students, through an objective-based process, with the goal of commercializing and scaling their enterprises.
