1. Register:

• on the UCalgary Travel Registration system.
• with the Government of Canada or your country of passport.

2. Review:

• the Government of Canada Travel Advice and Advisories for the country you are visiting, including reviewing the Entry/Exit requirements tab
• the International SOS Covid Trip Planner or through the mobile app, #4 below)
• the WHO COVID-19 Case Count Trackers related to the country you are visiting

3. If doing fieldwork outside urban areas, follow all requirements as outlined in the Field Safety Standard and submit completed field safety documentation to Department Head or Designate for review and approval.

4. Download the International SOS mobile app on your mobile device.

5. Ensure that:

• you have health coverage that will extend to cover any COVID-19 related illnesses while traveling.
• you have either purchased travel insurance that would cover quarantine and trip interruption costs or that your department/unit head is aware of the travel and has adequate funds to manage those costs should they arise
• you have consulted with your department head/unit head prior to travel to ensure that you can make alternate arrangements for work if you are quarantined.
