Reporting an Accident

Employee Injury

If this is a serious injury, Campus Security must be contacted at 403.220.5333. All employees injured during the course of their duties must complete both an OARS report and a WCB report. These reports can be accessed on the EHS website.

Student Injury

If a student is injured during the course of their studies, Campus Security must be contacted at 403.220.5333. The students and their supervisor must also complete OARS and WCB reports which can be accessed on the EHS website.

Volunteer Injury

If a volunteer is injured during the course of their duties, Campus Security must be contacted at 403.220.5333 to complete an incident report. The volunteer and their supervisor must also complete OARS and WCB reports which can be accessed on the EHS website.

Visitor Injury

If a visitor is injured while on campus, they may choose to report their injury to Campus Security at 403.220.5333. If this injury is reported to a UCalgary employee, the employee is required to contact Campus Security.

Property or Environmental Damage

Any accidents resulting in property damage or damage to the environment are required to be reported to Campus Security immediately at 403.220.5333. Campus Security will distribute the incident report to the appropriate departments for action.
