Campus Mental Health Strategy grant program adjudication criteria
Please use the following questions and criteria to guide your written application
1. Project Alignment with the Campus Mental Health Strategy (25%)
- How well do the goals and objectives of the project align with the goals, objectives, and values of CMHS?
- Which recommendations in the CMHS does the project specifically target?
- Does the project address mental health and wellbeing for campus community members (i.e., students, staff, academic staff, post-doctoral scholars)?
- What are the expected outcomes of the project? Are they clearly outlined?
2) Project Impact and Sustainability (35%)
- What is the potential impact of the project at the University of Calgary?
- Does the project target a large group with low impact or does it target a smaller group with large impact?
- Is the project evidence-based or based on best practices? Was this described?
- What is the sustainability of this project beyond the funding expiration?
- What is the plan for disseminating project outputs or sharing knowledge gained through the project?
3) Project Evaluation (20%)
- Is the project being evaluated? Is there an outlined evaluation procedure?
- Is the evaluation procedure appropriate for the project? Will the evaluation tools assess project objectives and outcomes?
- If ethics approvals are required, are there plans to obtain approvals and through which department/unit?
4) Project Budget and Timeline (20%)
- Is the budget for the project realistic? Are specific quotes and justifications provided? Does the budget contain only allowable expenses as per the ‘Travel and Expenses Handbook’ through Finance??
- Does the budget address the activities/initiatives in the project?
- Is the timeline realistic for the activities/initiatives in the project?
