Our plan proposes that Bridgeland become a precedent setting neighbourhood within the larger community of Calgary. We propose a mix of higher density single- and multi-family housing that acknowledges the need for quality housing close to the city centre.   

Some examples of multifamily housing styles

The Bow Valley Centre Redevelopment Plan provides the opportunity for innovation and precedent-setting development. Our concept plan recommends such projects as an energy efficient alternative housing project. Some of the features of this project include:  

• Active solar heating devices such as photovoltaic panels
• Passive solar heating methods such as maximized southern exposures and trombe walls
• Ths use of permeable surfaces around the building and in the parking areas.
• Co-operative living arrangements
• Communal garden facilities for food production
• Composting toilets
