A subgroup within the All Our Families cohort participated in the "prediction of preterm birth" component and provided blood samples during pregnancy and an umbilical cord blood sample. Participant samples are biobanked in -80 degree Celsius serums/plasmas and -20 degree Celsius PAXgene® tubes and DNA. DNA samples have been isolated and are available for analysis. Our serum and plasma samples have already been used in multiple studies by the research team.
In collaboration with the Canadian Urban Environmental Health Research Consortium (CANUE), the All Our Families cohort has linked environmental factors such as annual and monthly measures of air quality, UV, weather, greenness, and neighbourhood characteristics to study data.
