Jumps with partner bumps (1 leg landing)

- Soft bend at knees and hips
- Knees pushed out towards pinky toe
- Partner uses slight force to bump the athlete on the hip while they are in the air
- Nudge from various directions (front, back, sides)
- The amount of force applied by the partner should be enough to move the athlete slightly form their original take off position
- Absorb each landing on a single-leg from the ball of the foot to the heel
- Arms will swing forward in coordination with each jump
- Excessive force from partner bump that pushes the athlete too far off balance that they cannot recover, or that causes the athlete to be in an unsafe position
- Cue "Slight taps"
- Educate partner about the importance of safety of teammates
- Knee collapsing inward
- Cue "Drive knee out towards pinky toe"
- Cue “Squeeze glutes”
- Straight, locked knee
- Cue “Soft knee bend”
- Cue “Sit back slightly”
- Not fully absorbing landing back to heels
- Cue “Land softly and quietly”
- Reinforces soft landing technique
- Develops knee control
- Prepares athlete for uncontrolled landings on a single leg that could occur in game
