- Athlete opens up with leading foot, second foot crosses over with toe pointing forward
 - Arms swing backwards from the elbow before driving upwards in blocking motion
 - Knees stacked over ankle
 - Soft bend at knees and hips
 - Focus on soft landing before beginning next lateral movement
 
- Finishing block movement with toes point outward
	
- Cue “Toes square to net”
 
 - Lazy arms

 - Knee caving in on change of direction

- Increases heart and breathing rates
