- Soft bend at knees and hips
- Knees pushed out over pinky toe
- Partners coordinate jump timing to contact one another at shoulder-to-shoulder while they are in the air
- Keep elbows tight to body during jump
- Absorb each landing from the ball of the foot to the heel
- Arms will swing forward in coordination with each jump
- Excessive force from partner contact that pushes the athlete too far off balance that they cannot recover, or that causes the athlete to be in an unsafe position
- Cue "Slight contact"
- Educate partner about the importance of safety of teammates
- Knee collapsing inward
- Cue "Drive knee out towards pinky toe"
- Cue “Squeeze glutes”
- Straight, locked knee
- Cue “Soft knee bend”
- Cue “Sit back slightly”
- Not fully absorbing landing back to heels
- Cue “Land softly and quietly”
- Reinforces soft landing technique
- Develops knee control
- Prepares athlete for uncontrolled landings that could occur in game
