A. FACULTY OF ARTS REQUIREMENTS
Students must adhere to the applicable Faculty of Arts requirements in 3.4 Graduation.
B. MAJOR-FIELD WITH HONOURS REQUIREMENTS
Students must successfully complete a minimum of 9.0 and a maximum of 12.0 full-course equivalents in the Field of Political Science while fulfilling the following requirements:
1. Introduction: 1.0 full-course equivalents in Political Science at the 200 level.
2. Canadian Politics: Political Science 321.
3. Breadth in Political Science: 6.0 full course equivalents from the Field of Political Science, which must include all four of the following:
(a) Political Science 310.
(b) Political Science 359 and an additional 0.5 full-course equivalents in "Comparative Politics" (see the categories of courses in the Field of Political Science) at the 300 level or above.
(c) Political Science 381 and an additional 0.5 full-course equivalents in "International Relations" (see the categories of courses in the Field of Political Science) at the 300 level or above.
(d) Political Science 399.
4. Honours Seminar and Thesis: Political Science 499 and 500.
5. Advanced-Level Political Science: Inclusive of the courses used to fulfill requirements 3 and 4 above, at least 2.0 full-course equivalents must be at the 400 level or above.
C. OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Language: 1.0 full-course equivalents in a Language other than English or the equivalent.

Note: At the end of the fourth year, students will be required to take an oral examination of one hour on the Honours thesis.
