Notes:
- Most of the courses listed above have prerequisites, many of which lie outside the Field of African Studies. It is the student's responsibility to ensure that prerequisites are completed.
- Additional courses in the field may be listed on the Faculty of Arts website. The Faculty may approve additional courses in category 3 or 4 when they have significant African emphasis. For example, in some years Archaeology 531; Film 301; and/or Religious Studies 349 may be approved in category 3. Similarly, Economics 337, Geography 365, 425, 592; Political Science 279, 579; and/or Sociology 487 may be approved in category 4.
