Combined degree students must inform the Faculty of Education of their intention to register by March 15 preceding the Fall Term in which they intend to begin the education portion of their programs. Registration in the Faculty of Education must occur within three years of being admitted into the combined degree program.
Students choosing to leave the combined degree program before completion of both degrees would be considered to have left the Faculty of Education and would revert to enrolment in the Faculty of Arts with all the degree requirements of that program.
A. FACULTY OF ARTS REQUIREMENTS FOR COMBINED DEGREES
Students must adhere to the applicable Faculty of Arts requirements in 3.4 Graduation.
B. MAJOR-FIELD REQUIREMENTS FOR DRAMA AND NORMAL SEQUENCE
Students must successfully complete the following program of study, which includes from 10.0 to 13.0 in the Field of Drama:
First Year
- Drama 200, 222, 240, 360.
- 0.5 full-course equivalents in non-Drama options.
- 0.5 full-course equivalents in English.
Note: Students who enter the BFA (Drama) program and identify themselves as intending to apply for the combined BFA (Drama Education)/BEd (Master of Teaching) program will be allowed to enrol in Drama 360 in their first year.
Second Year
- Drama 340, 362, 460.
- An additional 1.0 full-course equivalents in Drama at the 300 level or above.
- 1.0 full-course equivalents of open options.
Third Year
- Drama 564
- An additional 1.0 full-course equivalents in Drama at the 300 level or above.
- 1.0 full-course equivalents in non-Drama options.
- 2.0 full-course equivalents of open options.
Fourth and Fifth Years
Students in this program must meet the requirements (10 full-course equivalents) for the two-year BEd (Master of Teaching Program) degree. Details of the two-year BEd (Master of Teaching Program) may be found in the Faculty of Education section of this Calendar.
