CREATE – IISC (Integrated Infrastructure for Sustainable Cities) is a training and research program based out of the University of Calgary, Canada.
The CREATE – IISC program is primarily funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council – Collaborative Research and Training Experience (NSERC-CREATE) Program funding envelope.
Our key objective is to train students to consider the impact of disruptive forces and transformative technologies on urban infrastructure systems.
We collaborate with Canadian and international universities, federal and provincial authorities, municipalities, and industry stakeholders. These parties offer direction and advice regarding the types of research conducted under the umbrella of IISC, to bridge the gap between university research and real-world needs.
