This month we are proud to announce that lab member Juan Carlos Kuri Martinez will be presenting his research at the International Conference on Sensory Aspects of Gluten-Free Foods. His paper title is Methodological Analysis of an Improved Gluten Quantitation Aptamer-based Biosensor covering his recent work as a member of the lab. The conference takes place August 16th and 17th 2022 in London, United Kingdom. Follow the link below to check out the presentation. 

This month the lab gathered to celebrate together with a BBQ. Discussing the past years challenges and victories. Thank you to everyone who attended. 

Congratulations to Dr. Yadid-Pecht for receiving a Distinguished Research Leadership award this year at the Schulich school of engineering research excellence awards ceremony. 

Devin Atkin has received his silicon prototype thanks to CMC. Testing has begun on the new image sensor topology. Initial testing has shown promising results and we hope to have further results in the coming months.

This month the lab celebrated together with a BBQ discussing plans for the coming year and reflecting on the successes and challenges of the previous. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend. 

We are welcoming Sophia Cliplef as our newest undergraduate student working on new media and videos. 

This month Dr. Orly Yadid-Pecht gave an invited keynote talk at WiCAS (Women in Circuits and Systems) at ISCAS 2020 (Held virtually this year due to COVID. https://iscas2020.org/program/wicas-events

Our lab is very proud of our recent graduate Mr. Ulian Shahnovich MSc. for being accepted as a member of the second GreenSTEM cohort. He will continue his work developing Wide Dynamic Range image sensors as part of his company WiDR. These sensors are especially suited for novel machine vision applications. Recent Additions. We welcome three new MSc students to our lab, Mr. Oliver White, Mr. Kuri Martínez and Ms. Ziyi Liu. 

We also welcome two new undergraduate interns, Basma Akhter and Kathy Bui. 

Recent Graduates. We want to congratulate our member Mengchen Lin for successfully defending his thesis this month. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.
