Staff, faculty and students are invited to learn more about the Indigenous Strategy, and develop an understanding of diverse Indigenous cultures in Canada. (1 hour approx)
Staff, faculty and students are invited to learn more about the diverse histories and cultures of Indigenous peoples in Canada, as well as, consider the effects of colonization and the legacy of residential schools. (3 hours approx)
The Anti-Indigenous Racism Workshop is a step in addressing this barrier while establishing a welcoming, inclusive, and culturally safe campus community for Indigenous peoples.
The focus on being a “good relative” aligns with Indigenous perspectives that prioritize collective well-being, continuous learning, and active participation in relationships.
