Biography

Dimitri is a PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Ian Lewis, at the University of Calgary, Department of Biological Sciences.

Dimitri was a Master’s student working under the supervision of Dr. Buret at the University of Calgary, Department of Biological Sciences. He received his BSc in Biology and Biotechnologies from University Paris-Sud in France in which he specialized in marketing and communication. He moved in Calgary in 2015 to start his MSc program.

Under Dr. Buret, Dimitri studied the potential therapeutic effects of antibiotics to treat viral infections using a porcine model of viral-induced inflammation. His project was titled: “Benefits of Antibiotics during Viral Infections: Immuno-Modulating Properties of Tulathromycin in Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome”.
