Welcome to the Chemical & Petroleum Engineering Grads' Association (CPEGA) Website!
INTRODUCTION:
CPEGA is an internal organization built to provide help and support for all graduate students (MEng, MSc, PhD) in the Chemical & Petroleum Engineering Department of the University of Calgary. Our mission is to improve the grad student experience of our members through elevated educational and social experiences.
We achieve this by providing the following:
- Interdepartmental Student and faculty social mixers
- Sporting events
- Software workshops
- Learning and networking opportunities with industry led seminars
- Faculty led discussions to inform students of academic life beyond a PhD
- Field trips to refineries, oil sands etc.
- A wealth of information about the processes involved in the University and advice on settling in Calgary for the first time
- A link between the students and the faculty to help voice student concerns
