At Fall Orientation, new students learn about the academic, student life and wellness services that can help them to transition into to life at the University of Calgary.

Watch your UCalgary email inbox in early July for important information on how to access the pre-arrival Online Orientation website. Later in the month, you will receive a registration link for the Fall Orientation in-person event on Sept. 1 and 2. Check out some of the activities that take place during the two days of programming.
- Pep Rally: Show off your faculty colours in a fun and energetic welcome ceremony at the Jack Simpson Gymnasium.
- New Student Picnic: Lunch is on us! Hang-out on the lawn with your Orientation Leaders (OL) at this outdoor event.
- UCalgaryStrong Carnival: This is your chance to unwind with new friends at an afternoon of games, activities, music and more.
- Faculty Orientation: Connect with instructors, staff and other students from your chosen programs and academic faculty area.
- Kick-Off: Enjoy a meal and a cold drink at the tailgate barbeque before showing some team spirit at a Dinos football game.

Fall Orientation

Date: Fall Orientation 2022 will take place on Thursday, September 1 and Friday September 2, 2022.
Times: Event times will be announced in the weeks leading up to Fall Orientation.
Cost: Fall Orientation events are free for all new undergraduate students. If you are a graduate or exchange student, please visit the corresponding tab above to learn more about additional events that apply to you.

During your first few weeks of classes you can access a virtual front desk where students, staff and faculty volunteers can answer your questions. Whether you arrive in-person or virtually, be sure to visit a live Zoom session and ask any questions that you have about campus or Calgary.
