Presentation at WNAR IBS

Congratulations to Mili Roy, a PhD student in PCMA lab, for her invited talk at the recently concluded 2022 Western North American Region of The International Biometric Society (WNAR IBS) conference. The title of her talk was "Joint analysis of binary and continuous data via joint modeling of jittered binary and continuous outcomes: A new approach."

Mili’s doctoral research focuses on joint modelling, copula, correlated data, and longitudinal data analysis.

AcT Trial

A huge and exciting clinical practice-changing result from the #AcT trial published in The Lancet. The 2-year long study was led by Dr. Bijoy Menon (University of Calgary) and Dr. Rick Swartz (University of Toronto) in collaboration with members of our lab (Dr. Tolu Sajobi and Ayoola Ademola).

Dr. Tolu Sajobi and Ayoola Ademola provided statistical leadership and support for the trial. The #AcT trial demonstrates tenecteplase as a safe, non-inferior, and easily administered clot-busting drug in acute stroke.

Impactful research often takes time and willingness to learn from and work with others. Many thanks to the #AcT team of investigators, trainees, and the 1600 Canadians who participated in this study.
