1. Degrees and Specializations Offered

The University offers an interdisciplinary specialization in Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine at the Master's and Doctoral levels for students registered in the following faculties and graduate programs:
  • Biomedical Engineering
  • Veterinary Medical Sciences
The student will receive the MSc (thesis-based) or PhD degree offered by the home program.
2. Admission Requirements

Applicants must meet the admission requirements of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and the home program that offers the Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine specialization. The specialization is open to both Canadian and international students.
3. Application Deadline

Students must first apply to a graduate program offering the specialization. See Biomedical Engineering or Veterinary Medical Sciences.
4. Advanced Credit

The applicant should make requests for advanced credit at the time of application, as part of the admissions process. See Advanced Credit for further information.
5. Program/Course Requirements

In addition to meeting the requirements of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and the home program, students in the Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine specialization must meet the following course requirements:

6. Additional Requirements

a) All SCRM students must attend and participate in the Reproduction and Regenerative Medicine Research Group monthly seminar series. Attendance is a mandatory program requirement and will be recorded. This is an ongoing, mandatory educational activity for the duration of the graduate program and is routinely attended by graduate supervisors.

b) All SCRM students must attend and participate in the weekly Reproduction and Regenerative Medicine Research group journal club. Attendance is a mandatory program requirement and will be recorded. This is an ongoing, mandatory educational activity for the duration of the graduate program, which will be attended by graduate supervisors on a rotary basis.
