Admission Awards are offered to students admitted to the U of C directly from high school on the basis of their high school grades. Students must be entering their first year in any undergraduate degree program. Students must apply for admission in order to be considered.
-
Eligibility: Admission Awards are open to Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and international students. Admission Awards for specific faculties are offered to eligible students in addition to the University of Calgary Admission Scholarships. Students must be entering a Fall Term at the University of Calgary.
-
Requirements: The payment of monetary awards, with the exception of certain prizes and graduating scholarships, is contingent upon the student maintaining full-time status in the immediate Fall and Winter terms. Unless otherwise stated in the conditions, the recipient must be in actual full-time attendance at the University of Calgary before receiving the awards. Payment of tuition and fees is the first charge against such awards. If the value of an award is stated as "tuition and fees", it is understood not to include differential fees. Supplemental, deferred and special deferred examinations or term work may affect eligibility for certain awards.
-
Application: Students are automatically considered for these awards based on their early admission average from their admission application, with the offer being conditional on their final admission average. No separate award application is required.
-
Notification: All qualified high school applicants will be notified of this award in their offer of admission. The award will be confirmed once the final admission average is determined.
