Government of Alberta

The Government of Alberta, through an independent entity called Alberta Innovates, offers several grant programs for research funding.

Several departments within the provincial government are also active in commissioning university research and require the university to sign an agreement as a condition of funding. Each department has its own form of agreement, which may quality as Research Contracts or Grants.
