"THE GOVERNORS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CALGARY" was established as a legal entity in 1966 under the now repealed An Act respecting Provincial Universities, SA 1966, c 105, was continued under the subsequent Universities Act, RSA 2000, c U-3, and is further continued under the current Post-Secondary Learning Act, SA 2003, c P-19.5.

The University of Calgary is recognized as a non-profit organization incorporated through provincial legislation and, therefore, does not have a business registration number. We are registered as a charitable organization under the name "THE GOVERNORS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CALGARY"; our Charity Registration Number is 108102864 RR0001.
